Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Life has taken me on quite the journey and given my fair share of unexpected experiences so far. I am not where I thought I would be at this point and admittedly have been unpleasantly surprised with much of life and the world so far. Even though there is abundant beauty and goodness in life, the truth is there is also plenty of ugly, painful and hard in this world that seems to touch everyone’s life to some extent, some more than others. It can be overwhelming to go through darkness without being equipped to fully move these experiences through our body. Many times we get a little or a lot stuck and end up living with that heavy residue that can manifest in many unpleasant physiological ways. The services I offer are techniques I have been trained in and cultivating for the past 15 years through my own curiosity and desire to help support my growth and fulfillment in all seasons life brings. They organically evolved into a strong natural interest and I began to see this work is valued by others as well. These techniques are a huge part of what have helped me in balancing overwhelming anxiety, depression, trauma, confusion, stagnation and fear. I am not a healer and do not believe in calling myself that.
